Conceptual memory
A photograph taken during the shooting of a film, the image evokes the lives of the saints, the stories of sacrifice and devotion in solitude. Pilgrims carrying the word of the Lord through harsh landscape. The smoke proposes a dramatic tension to that landscape, allowing the image to be thought of as a film still. That is, a part of a story. I am particularly interested in the narrative potential of the action captured in the direct shot. And within the corpus of my work, the solitary human figure against a landscape becomes a recurring image that refers to the existential.

Memoria conceptual
Fotografía tomada durante el rodaje de una película, la imagen evoca a las vidas de los santos, las historias de sacrificio y devoción en soledad. Peregrinos llevando la palabra del Señor por paisaje ásperos. El humo propone una tensión dramática a ese paisaje, permitiendo pensar la imagen como un still de una película. O sea, una parte de un relato. Me interesa particularmente el potencial narrativo de la acción capturada en la toma directa. Y dentro del corpus de mi obra, la figura humana solitaria contra un paisaje, se vuelve una imagen recurrente y que remite a lo existencial.
